I hadn’t done a scheduled work out in over 10 years and I was eating two or three of those miniature chocolate bars, the kind you get for Halloween, every day. I noticed that my health was going down hill. I even went to the drug store and took one of those heart monitor tests. Sure enough, at 34 I was starting to, what I thought, fall apart.
I decided to look for a cross fit gym because I needed something structured. I decided that if I just signed up then that would be enough to get me going. I had lots of options, but being a business owner and having a busy, ever changing schedule I really liked the schedule at Kirkland’s Lake Washington Cross-fit. Basically they said I could come in on my schedule which was great.
Today, just 24 work outs later, my blood pressure is down to normal healthy levels. I can do a full “no knees” push up and I can ski all day without getting tired. I don’t know yet if this will be a life long thing, or just a while longer but I feel great and either directly or indirectly most things in my life have improved. I would really recommend that anyone with a similar experience to mine take the first step which is simply sign up. Everything else will happen automatically from there.
