How long have you been coaching?

5 years

Why CrossFit?

I was bored of the gym routine I had, which mostly consisted of the elliptical machine, and at the end of a long work day I didn't want to think about what I was going to do at the gym. CrossFit was an easy choice - you walk in, have a skill  session and a workout written for you. The variety of the skill and workout sessions is was what drew me in.  From weightlifting, gymnastics and metabolic conditioning - you'll never get bored! The LWCF open gym format is what kept me consistent - the open schedule allows you the flexibility to arrive when you can and stay as long as you wish to work on extra strength or skill exercises. When you add all of that up PLUS the awesome LWCF community - it's hard to beat!

Favorite Modality or Benchmark workout and why

Weightlifting - prior to starting CrossFit, I had done little weightlifting. It was terrifying initially to start but the coaches made it fun and easy to learn. I feel my strongest holding a barbell!

Favorite Cheat Food/Meal

Pizza or donuts - depends on the day

What is a song you can find on your workout playlist?
(What can a member expect to hear when you are coaching?)

I like a little bit of everything! If I'm doing a skill or lifting session it's probably mellow rock or country, if I'm doing a workout it's most likely rock/high energy, and when I'm coaching I tend to play anything that will get the group amp'd up!

Best advice to a new prospective member trying CrossFit
for the first time.

Come into it with an open mind, willingness to learn and grow, and the ability to just have a fun time! I know some (or all) of it may be intimidating/scary but with the instruction you'll receive from our coaches and the endless support you'll receive from the LWCF community, you're bound to succeed!
