Yoga Class

Mobility (more so known as flexibility in the real world) is a concept that comprises joint range of motion (ROM), muscular tension, soft tissue and joint capsule restrictions, adhesions, tendon resilience, neuromuscular coordination, the biomechanics of positioning, and knowledge of the proper form for a movement. It also includes stabilization which is created by muscular balance and strength--in particularly core strength to help protect the spine.

Yoga helps us move our limbs to help achieve their full range of motion.

A look-in at one of LWCF's weekly yoga class sessions.  Namaste.

Its purpose is to eliminate restrictions and improve our ability to attain optimal positioning (efficiency) during movements. Increased mobility means reduced injury, greater ability to achieve proper form in the set-up and to sustain better technique and form throughout the ENTIRE movement. This translates into greater power output and more productive workouts.

Natalie, our yoga instructor, leads a 60 minute class every Saturday morning for athletes who want to improve their mobility and as a result improve their CrossFit and their lives!
